De burgemeester van Veenendaal, Gert-Jan Kats, is uit de SGP gestapt. Kats vindt dat de SGP ‘ondubbelzinnig afstand moet nemen’ van Forum voor Democratie en stelt dat de partij ‘een grens moet trekken’ bij antisemitisme. Eind vorig jaar werd bekend dat in de jongerenafdeling van FvD antisemitische berichten rondgingen. Partijleider Thierry Baudet zou antisemitisme hebben gerelativeerd.
